WhatsApp announces “Message Yourself” feature which helps users send themselves notes, reminders, shopping lists and many more..

WhatsApp never fails to impress its fans with new updates.

The Meta owned app has announced the “Message Yourself” feature which help users to chat with yourself. With this feature, the users can send messages to one’s own account.

In this way they can keep a piece of information easily accessible just next to their other WhatsApp conversations. Using the “Message yourself” feature, users can send notes reminders and shopping list to themselves.

WhatsApp has announced the rolling out of the new future in Android and iPhones in the coming weeks. The feature was initially tested in some beta testers in late October.

TechCrunch has officially confirmed that the feature has been rolling out globally. With the message yourself feature, when users create a new chat the user will get to see their contact at the top most of their contact list on WhatsApp. By simply tapping that contact the chat screen will be open.

The users can start sending message to themselves. Even though this feature is new, many users have been availing this service using the “click to chat” feature. However this involves various steps which can be removed with the latest feature.

Another advantage of this feature is that users can pin their self chat messages to the top of the conversation list. The rival of WhatsApp, Signal has a similar feature named Note to Self which is used for the same purpose.
